We can't say an exact number, but it is estimated that there are around 7,100 different languages around the world; each of them with very particular characteristics that distinguish them from each other.

Today we bring you a language with a very interesting characteristic. Khmer, the official language of Cambodia, a country located in the southern part of the Indochina peninsula in Southeast Asia.

The Jamer or Kamae as it is known within its own language, has an alphabet of 72 letters, and 32 of them are vowels. Cambodian is one of the oldest languages in the world, descended from Sanskrit and Pali, in the Monjemer family. It has numerous dialects spoken in Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Burma and Cambodia. In addition, it is also spoken in different ethnic groups, Khmer of Thailand, Vietnam and preserved in various migratory groups located in Canada, Australia, United States, France and India, among others.
